After updating the design and inviting fresh new heroes to their pages, magazine “Žmonės“ (People) sought to re-introduce. Our task was to create an image campaign that speaks of the values the magazine team follows when creating each issue. How to show that famous people, the heroes of the pages are closer to readers than they seem at first glance?
We started with a new slogan – “We are all human,” which reminds us that there are no perfect ones. Then for TV clips and press layouts, we invited well-known faces from different backgrounds – art, sports, and business. We asked those that are idolized to show their human side and reveal themselves in situations which typically reveal their flaws. We spoke with each personality in advance, and together, we chose scenarios which make them feel most vulnerable. To show that there was almost no direct in creating the campaign, we photographed the layout images with a tape camera. We saw the results only the next day.
